Community Benefit Fund
It takes many working parts to keep The Tribute humming along, and one of these is the Community Benefit Fund. The Tribute established the fund through The Tribute Owner’s Association to enhance the community’s resort lifestyle on the peninsula.
The initial focus of the fund is to provide school support to Little Elm ISD to offset some of the expenses of operating and maintaining the Prestwick K-8 STEM Academy in providing and making educational activities available in, to and for The Tribute community. Once the school support obligation is retired, funds may be used within The Tribute for various community projects, including, but not limited to:
· Community events and activities
· Health and wellness programs
· Maintenance of trails
· Wildlife conservation
· Environmental programs
The fund’s broader scope will provide support for cultural, educational, charitable, recreational and environmental activities, as well as for maintenance and improvements. It simply will support projects that enhance the quality of life at The Tribute for all of its residents.
To support the fund, homeowners are responsible for a half-percent transfer fee when their homes resell.
