Lake Lewisville transforms The Tribute from a master-planned development into the resort lifestyle and community that it is. It is remarkable that a place so close to downtown Dallas feels so removed from the fast pace of DFW. The lake surrounds the entire peninsula, making lake views the norm, and water and boat access easy for our residents.
The lake is surrounded by 9,000 protected acres of nature, spans 23,280 acres, and has 233 miles of shoreline. Go fishing, boating, water skiing, jet-skiing or explore miles of scenic trails all around Lake Lewisville.
Lake Lewisville is a Corps of Engineers reservoir that is immensely popular for water sports and outdoor recreation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Colony is fortunate to have a large amount of acreage available for park use, as well as some very scenic areas accessible by local parks. There are several neighborhood and pocket parks that allow residents easy access to playgrounds, picnic facilities, and open play areas. There are also athletic facilities, such as Five Star Athletic Complex, Turner Soccer Complex, and the Little League Complex that are built for more competitive functions. Eastvale Park is operated by Blue Sky Sports Center and is one of the premier soccer facilities in the area.
Stewart Creek Park on Lewisville Lake provides great access to the water, as well as a wonderful venue for events like Liberty by the Lake, Family Fright Night, or your own family reunion, birthday party, or family picnic.

Hidden Cove Park, also on Lewisville Lake, is great for camping adventures and boating activities.
The City of Lewisville manages Lake Park on the south shore of the lake and includes a picnic area, RV and tent camping, pavilion, 24-hour fishing barge, swimming beach, and excellent public facilities. Marinas, boat rentals, launch ramps, and anglers’ supplies are also available.
Fishing on Lake Lewisville includes large-mouth bass, crappie, catfish, white bass, and spectacular hybrid white/striped bass. Swimming, water skiing, jet skiing, sailing, sail boarding, camping, biking, and picnicking are all part of what makes Lake Lewisville so much fun.
